2008 what you make of it

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

For you 2008 will be what you make of it. Stop listen to the media and the whiners or it will be a tough year.

Look for the opportunities. The Fed is cutting and home prices are cheaper.

If you make the right moves this year, you will look back and see 2008 as the turning point of your success.

Che bella nazione!

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Housing – Deal or not Deal?

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Home prices dropped between 5 – 10% in 2007, but there was no “Bubble”. 2008 will be another down year for housing with similar declines in prices -but will also mark a bottoming out. The thing of it is… you can’t see a bottom untill you are already past it, much like how we always see refinance activity pick up when rates start rising from their lowest levels!

2008 will see great deals for housing and real estate. Rising incomes and lower home prices will make real estate more affordable, as ome of the excesses are washed out. Now more than ever, make sure you stay in touch with your client database and refferral partners to educate them on what’s happening, and how the present market creates opportunities for them.

Options for Sellers…

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

It’s predicted that more than 50% of homeowners will owe more on their homes than the true market value by this time next year.

Sellers make the mistake of thinking their only option is letting the house go into foreclosure.  What many people do not realize is that banks do not want to foreclosures, they are in the lending business.

Short sales are one of the best options for the lender and seller. Unfortunately, the seller’s credit may have some negative effect from doing a short sale.

Short sales do take time. It is possible to close a short sale in 30 to 60 days but it is not unusual to take up to 90 days to close.  If you think a short sale may be a viable option for you, please do not hesitate in giving me a call or sending an email so we may set up a confidential meeting to review your options.

Foreclosure can be avoided!

Buona Pasqua a tutti voi!

Ignore the Headlines! Reasons for buying now.

If you are a buyer trying to decide if the timing is right - it might just not pay off.

With interest rates remaining at all-time lows, and an abundance of inventory to choose from… the timing is very right to make an investment in real estate.  Westport has remained substantially stable amidst the “housing crisis” as proported by the media, and with the opportunity of low-rates, excellent options and a balanced market… NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY!

A sailing school, tennis and paddle tennis courts, boat marina plus a great facility for dinner and banquets. And if you enjoy the cold weather the local PAL sponsors a large outdoor skating rink there.

Our Recreation department offers year around programs for children and adults like little league baseball, soccer, swimming, summer camps and much more. The town of Westport has invested in building several new multi-purpose playing fields and baseball & softball diamonds.

Dogs even have their own park to run free in at Winslow Park.

Our new downtown Senior Center offers multiple classes, program activities and many senior discounts in town.
